After the Milan - Carugate stage won by Lorena Wiebes (DSM TEAM), today Wednesday 7 July one of the most spectacular stages of the Giro is held: at 11.05 am the Colico – Colico route, a 155 km ring, starts which runs along the entire Lake Como, between water and mountains in the provinces of Como and Lecco.

The Piedmontese stages ended with the victory of Anna Van der Breggen (TEAM SD WORX) in the individual time trial Formazza Fondovalle – Formazza Riale Cascata del Toce; today Tuesday 6 July, the Giro d'Italia Donne arrives in Lombardy, in fact, the Milano - Carugate stage startsat 11:40: a 122 km-long route that kicks off in the center of the Lombard capital in Piazza Affari and then goes through some of the most famous squares of the city such as the Duomo, Della Scala, San Babila and Loreto.

It is Anna van der Breggen (SDW - TEAM SD WORX), the new Maglia Rosa, who flies along the climb to Prato Nevoso, arrival of the second stage of the Giro d'Italia Donne, which started from Boves. A hard, very challenging stage with arrival at an altitude of 1.607 after 100 km. On an all SDW - TEAM SD WORX podium, the world champion takes the stage victory in 2h 58’31 at 1’22” from Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio and at 1’51” from Demi Vollering. Fourth place for the Italian Marta Cavalli (FDJ NOUVELLE-AQUITAINE FUTUROSCOPE).
